After its successful run in foreign film festivals and last year’s MMFF, the Carlo Matatad film “Whether The Weather is Fine” starring MMFF Best Actress Charo Santos and Daniel Padilla becomes available on KTX.PH starting on February 9 (Sunday) to 13 (Thursday). Set after the typhoon Yolanda hit Tacloban, Miguel (Daniel), his mother Norma, (Charo), and his friend Andrea (Rans Rifol) are struggling for survival. As a rescue ship for Manila docks at their port, they must decide on whether to stay or to leave the place they once called home before another storm devours them all.
In “Love At First Stream,” which streams on KTX.PH on February 8 (Saturday) to 13 (Thursday), four teenagers explore love and friendships online to escape their realities offline. It stars Daniella Stranner, Anthony Jennings, Kaori Oinuma, and Jeremiah Lisbo. During the pandemic, V (Daniela), a neophyte vlogger asks help from neighbor Tupe (Anthony) and her cousin Megumi (Kaori) to help her become famous. Things get complicated as she joined a livestream dating show with Megumi’s classmate Gino (Jeremiah).
“Huwag Kang Lalabas” is a trilogy film with a common theme: Do not leave or go outside. It will be available on KTX.PH on February 9 (Sunday) to 12 (Wednesday). The first story, “Kumbento,” centers on Teresa (Beauty Gonzales), a novitiate, who unintendedly uncovers the dark secrets of an old convent. The second one titled “Bahay,” revolves around a mother played by Aiko Melendez who prohibits her son Buboy (Joaquin Domagoso) from going out of their house after mysterious deaths of uncircumcised teenagers happened in their community. The last episode is “Hotel” topbilled by Kim and is about a returning OFW who stayed in an old hotel-turned-quarantine facility. After her friends suddenly disappeared, Amor risks her life to find their whereabouts.
The three movies are priced at P249 each.
