In a world where fake news and online gossip could easily spread, “Gulo” is centered on importance of media literacy. Through this single, Paul Pablo aims to inspire listeners to be vigilant with the online world to avoid the sharing of misleading news that causes misinformation.
Written and conceptualized by Paul Pablo, “Gulo” is a fresh and unique approach to OPM as it is recorded in collaboration with music producers Xerxes Bakker and Jhay Ehidio of The Sound House.
Born and raised in Davao City, the distinct genre of Paul Pablo is an eclectic mix of pop combined with electro-pop, indie, disco, synth-pop, and R&B. Inspired by Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert, Paul Pablo has a charismatic and unapologetic personality as patented in his growing body of work. Through his craft as a singer and songwriter, he offers a fresh spin on issues about love, identity and social tension as seen on the output of his creative imagination evident in his music and visuals. As an LGBTQ advocate, he aspires to help raise the rainbow flag and create music for everyone’s indulgence regardless of gender.
This year, prior to “Gulo,” Paul Pablo has released three songs under WMP namely “Bangin” and “Kalawakan.” Since then he has gained 35K Spotify monthly listeners, 26k followers on TikTok, and 198.6k total views on YouTube.
