Last weekend, ABSCBN finally announced the winners of PUSH AWARDS, an annual digital media event of ABSCBN held at the ASAP Chillout. I kind of love this Award because bias I maybe, this one gave me my first digital media award last 2016 when I bagged the Most Popular Entertainment Blogger category.
The tandem of my favorites Edward Barber and Maymay Entrata, meanwhile, enjoyed a breakout win as the Push Group/Tandem. Their fans, the MayWards, also captured the Ultimate Fan Award for posting the highest number of tweets among all fan clubs during the seven-week voting period.
Liza Soberano and Karla Estrada won three awards, topping the afternoon program. The winners of the Push performance categories were determined by the combined online fan votes and judges’ scores, which accounted for 30% and 70% of the total scores, respectively. Meanwhile all the winners in the Push Personality and Push Goals categories were purely based on the number of online fan votes.
For three consecutive years, ABS-CBN’s entertainment website PUSH.com.ph has organized the Push Awards, which successfully brought together the biggest stars and the biggest fandoms in one stage to recognize them for their exceptional influence in the digital world and empower and engage fans through active digital participation.
It is one of the digital initiatives of ABS-CBN, the Philippines’ leading media and entertainment company, which is rapidly transitioning into an agile digital company with the biggest online presence among all media companies, and a growing list of digital properties.
