(TRAVEL) How I Experienced Sinulog Festival Using ASUS Zenfone Zoom!

Ive been to Cebu a couple of times but haven’t experienced Sinulog event. Though despite the festivities and huge crowd, I would say that the Cebu city is one of the best places to capture beautiful landscapes and smiling faces. As I don’t have schedule of business trip last January and as Sinulog happens every January as annual cultural and religious festival, I took the chance to finally experience it with my fellow blogger friends. And of course, I have to make sure that I capture the right moment, with a right camera. This time, I get to experience the talk of the town ASUS ZENFONE ZOOM.

Soon as we arrived at the hotel, I already felt the warm welcome of fellow Cebuanos. Oh by the way, I am indirectly (50%) Cebuano as my Mom was born and lived in northern part of Cebu before she decided to stay in Manila.

For Starters, ASUS ZENFONE ZOOM is the only smartphone I used with an innovatie 10-element HOYA lens. It is dubbed as the world’s thinnest 3x optical-zoom smartphone. This Zenfone Zoom actually shortens the visible distance from your point where you stant to your subject matter. I think this is the best way to bring if I’ll go to concerts and big events with a huge crowd. asus zenfone zoom hoya lens We went to the Magellan Cross and tried crossing the crowd to get inside the church but to no avail. There was an going mass and everyone is eager to hear the sacrament. From here I was able to capture the scenery using ASUS Zenfone Zoom! cebuano One of the key features of Zenfone Zoom is the Lowlight mode.

This will give you a chance to capture your subject without a dim background. Perfect for late afternoon or evening shot with a manual mode – long exposure shutter speed. At night, we partied at Blue Elephant sky Lounge and from there we see the entire Ayala area.

The next day of course we never failed to miss the grand parade. The street parade usually lasted up to 10 hours with contingents coming from different towns and cities all over the nation. Participants are dressed in colorful costumes dancing  to the rhythm of native songs with drums and trumpets. I totally enjoyed it!

Here are some of the photos we took as group during the entire Sinulog Trip using Asus Zenfone Zoom! Would love to try other features but we are running out of time. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this phone as your companion in events like this. 🙂
