I met Senatoriable Mark Lapid last week in one of the famous resto within Pasig Area, the Locavore, one good opportunity and Q & A night with my fellow blogger friends. Eager to know his plans in the upcoming election, we sat with him to understand his intentions.
Having exposure with the tourism arm of the country, Mark believes that tourism is the way to go in order to boost revenues, popularity of our country and if handled well, will give a chance for economic growth in the next 10 years. He believes that a well-executed mergers with both public and private enterprises, with the help of the local leaders will make us one of the front runners in southeast asia.
We all know Mark as the son of Leon Guererro, Senator Lito Lapid. More than this, he appeared and did some movies in entertainment industries and get paired by some leading actresses in the country such as Judy-ann Santos. Some of his famous works are inclusion to Panday 2 last 2011 and his appearance in Little champ, a TV series aired in 2013.
Aside from his work as an actor, he is also the chief Operations Officer of the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprises Zone Authority (TIEZA). For those who didn’t know, TIEZA had already given P60 million for the improvement of the Sandugo Shrine in Tagbilaran City, said Lapid, as he also assured Loboc residents, led by Mayor Helen Calipusan Alaba, of more funds for tourism-related projects from his office. This information was noted during his recent visit in Bohol.
