Books and coffee have long gone hand in hand and this September, Eastwood Mall is giving all coffee-lovers and book enthusiasts more reasons to love this perfect combo.
Running from September 4 to 12 at the Eastwood Mall Atrium, Eastwood Mall’s Books & Brews is a weeklong fair that gathers the best coffee brewers in town together with various bookstores and organizations for the book-lovers in a quintessential bookstore café setting.
Great Reads + Great Coffee = Good Times
Books & Brews offers book lovers lots of ways to get a good read with a great cup of coffee, starting with fun book swaps. Guests can get new books for free by trading in their old books for a different one from the libraries of Filipino Reader Con, Books Please and Buy the Books.
Books & Brews also holds a large selection of books and titles from Filipino ReaderCon, Books Please, Buy the Books, Compassion and Responsibility for the Animals (CARA) Welfare Philippines and OMF Literature Books. Comic book fans can drop by the booth of Meganon Comic Store and explore a great selection of comics from classics to the most popular new titles.
Guests can then start reading their new finds with a great cup of coffee from Starbucks, Costa Coffee, Pie Face, Café Avelino and Ferdinand Coffee House.
Edible Coffee Selfies and Coffee Art
For coffee art enthusiasts, they can enjoy coffee art in a new way through the 3D Coffee Printer, which can print their selfie photo directly on their coffee froth using water-based edible ink. Upon ordering a latte, the customer takes a selfie using the mobile phone connected to the printer. The machine then recreates the selfie and prints it on the coffee foam – giving new meaning to the words coffee selfie!
Art enthusiasts can also visit the booth of Art Boutique, where they can shop for fine art pieces, get Mason Jars at Green Selections or visit and take their photos at the Coffee Art Display by Sunshine Plata. Meanwhile, art-loving adults who are into coloring can stop by the Coloring Book for Adults station, and get new books and materials for their hobby.
