(FOOD) SM Mall of Asia Food Crawl, Sweet Desserts from Lugang Cafe

As I have mentioned in my previous entry, The SM Mall of Asia continues to surprise us with something new every season. This Valentines, SM MOA shares the same passion of making our dining experience sweeter and more memorable. Featured in this entry is one of the many restaurants I and my blogger-friends had the opportunity to visit during the recent Food Crawl –  Lugang Cafe (my favorite!!!),  which, I must say, is truly a haven of authentic  Asian sweets and desserts ! Lugang in SM Mall of Asia is the second branch to open in the Philippines. The first local branch inaugurated is in Greenhills.

LUGANG CAFE (Pronounced as Lukang Cafe) is operated by the Bellagio Group of Restaurants. I was so glad when I heard of their opening in Greenhills because I have been reading (and hearing) a lot about the great food they serve. The Philippines is fortunate to be the country next to China, the home of Lugang,  where the famous restaurant group is opertaing. Apart form the nice stuff people say about their food,  I am so impressed by the restaurant’s modern interiors. Voted as one of the top 100 Best Restaurants in the Philippines by Philippine Tatler, this visit to try their food was truly worth my time.

Fourteen world-class Chinese chefs, all eager and competent to provide  outstanding dining experience, prepared the sumptuous array of the very best dishes that Taiwan has to offer. Breaking free from the conventional look of a Chinese restaurant, Lugang Café sets itself apart from the rest with its modern interiors, and aesthetic design.

In this blog I am going to introduce you three of their best sellers:  Baked Red Bean and Sago Pudding, Mango Pudding with Fresh Diced Mango and Buko Lychee Shake.

BUKO LYCHEE SHAKE – P130

Well, at first you would think that this is just another ordinary fruit shake. I didn’t pay much attention at first because I was busy trying the other two desserts served but then I realized this is one of the best shakes I ever had. The mixture of lychee and buko is just so good that yo know they are blending well as they pamper your taste buds!

Baked Red Bean and Sago Pudding – P120.

The first time I tried this sago pudding was when I visited the Greenhills Branch. If you are a big fan of leche flan, you definitely will love Lugang’s  sago pudding . The pudding is superblyprepared; it is that  sweet so you certainly can finsih two (or three, or yes even four!) servings.

Mango Pudding with Fresh Diced Mango – 3pcs/ order – P120

We all love kakanin and we are lucky Lugang Cafe is serving a  couple of local desserts with distinct Pinoy flavors in their menu. One of which is the Mango Pudding, another must-try!  What I like most about this pudding is the surpise center – mango cream –  which melts gently when you in your taste buds you feel you are instantly in clod nine! The Mango Pudding is among the  affordable desserts they serve. Served in three pieces.
Lugang Café is certainly what every contemporary restaurant aims to become – chic and stylish with great service and food to die for! It is definitely a must try restaurant! These desserts are not only available for the whole month of February.
Thank you Lugang Cafe for a wonderful experience!
