Brazilian-Japanese model and “Pinoy Big Brother All In” Big Winner Daniel Matsunaga wants to obtain Filipino citizenship through naturalization, he reveals in “Tapatan Ni Tunying” airing this Thursday (September 4). Daniel also intends to convince his family in Brazil to live in the Philippines. “I’m planning to bring my whole family here. I want to stay here for the rest of my life,” Daniel says. “I’m just waiting for my father to retire from his job. He said maybe after two years,” he adds. The model, who is also a professional football player, says he wants to join Azkals to play for the Philippines.
“I’ll try to enroll in Azkals. I really want to be part of it. Every opportunity that God has given me in the Philippines is amazing. I never had this in my entire life so I really love this country,” Daniel says. Amid criticisms that he did not deserve to win the hit reality show “Pinoy Big Brother” because of his citizenship, Daniel reiterates that he considers himself a true Filipino. “We can’t choose where we are born, but we choose where we belong. I’ve been living here for five years. I’m a Filipino,” he insists. He also quips, “If it’s needed for me to have a drop of Filipino blood, I am willing to get it from Makati Med. My heart really belongs here.”
This episode of “Tapatan Ni Tunying” also features Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sec. Dinky Soliman in a separate interview, where she reveals her plan of retiring from government work in 2016.
Sec. Soliman, who has served as the DSWD secretary for both former President Gloria Macapagal–Arroyo and Pres. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III’s administration, compares and shares her observations on the two leaders. Don’t miss “Tapatan ni Tunying” this Thursday (September 4) at 4PM on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold.
