(MOVIE) Suspense-Horror Movie, BASEMENT is SPRINGBOARD FILM & COFFEE HOUSE Prod Offering This February

The long wait is finally over, Coffee House Production and Springboard film gave us another movie to look forward this month as BASEMENT, the upcoming suspense-horror movie by Director Topel Lee will finally be shown nationwide!

Topbilled by prime talents of the GMA Artist Center, prepare for the opening salvo of BASEMENT, a pre-valentine movie offering starring Mona Louise Rey, Kevin Santos, Jan Manual, Ron Padilla, Teejay Marquez, Chynna Ortaleza, Sarah Lahbati, Louise Delos Reyes, Kristoffer Martin, Enzo Pineda, Dion Ignacio and Aljur Abernica with Betong Sumaya, Ellen Adarna and Ms. Pilita Corrales.

I was invited by GMA Artist Center to discuss the project and was surprised by their pranks and prepared set! They literally hold the Blogger’s Conference at GMA Basement, a very artistic approach ever made in any media conference and they succeeded to make us feel the horror-thrilled effect.

GMA told us that the playdate of the movie is intentionally for February so the public will experience something different on heart’s month. Some cast members recall their creepiest experience while taping the film. Dion Ignacio shares how uncomfortable he was just being on the location. “Yung location pa lang nakaramdam na talaga ko.”

Arjay Padilla and Dion share that this is the first time they did a horror movie and told the bloggers present that they were excited while doing the film.

I have known Director Topel Lee in the movie industry and he actually surprised everyone that he’s been doing BASEMENT since 2012 and the producers decided to release the movie this year to finalize the special effects and master the film art so as the audience deserves nothing but the best.

BASEMENT opens nationwide on February 12, 2014 by GMA FIlms and Reality Entertainment. You can catch the cast on its premiere night on February 9, 7pm at THE PODIUM.

  1. We watched this movie during the opening day and it was disappointing. There were so many loopholes in the story. the visual effects are not bad though. Casting is terrible. Bad acting. Its supposed to scare the audience but no one seemed to be scared. The concept was good but the script is poor. I could even hear the people who were sitted at the back saying- “ampangit naman ng movie na to”. I would rate this 2 out of 10.
