Last weekend I went to Promenade Greenhills to grace the opening of KOGI BULGOGI, A Korean experience that satisfies my craving to Ramen, Korean Kimchi and Sashimi.
It was a day of guilty pleasure as I was able to try almost all of my favourite in one sitting. It is my first time in KOGI and I would say, they have the best Ramen (RAMYEON) in town. Kogi Bulgogi’s menu items will give your plate a taste that brings you to Korea. It is a versatile Korean restaurant where you may request your dishes adjusted to your preferred spice level.
Here are some of their best sellers I tried:
I actually don’t have much knowledge about Korean Food. It was actually my friend who visited Seoul who introduce me to try Korean Resto here in the Metro. Good thing Kogi Bulgogi has a delightful fare of Korean dishes to choose from. Other favorites in the restaurant are the Japchae, Soft Shell Crab Salad, Sae-u Twigim, Deungshim Gui, and Kimchi. Aside from its distinct spicy flavors, Korean cuisine noticeably balances their meals with vegetables which makes for an ideal dining experience.
Kogi is Korean for meat, and Bulgogi is a dish of marinated beef cooked with onions, one of Korea’s most popular dish.
Kogi Bulgogi was first introduced in Eastwood Mall, Libis in April of 2010, and has since enjoyed a full house consistently. Kogi Bulgogi specializes in tempering your orders’ spice level from 0 – 10. This service is specially appreciated by Filipino market.
And of course my favorite, THEIR RAMEN!
Good thing is that, since I’m not a fan of spices, you can actually request your dishes adjusted to your preferred spice level. Filipinos are adventurous when it comes to their cuisines, and once they set the stage for your Kogi Bulgogi adventure, they will warm you up with a set of six mini Korean appetizers.
The interiors of Kogi have a unique Asian feel with a touch of modern Korea. It has wooden earth tones, and contrasted with the light and dark furniture creates a delightful aesthetic balance.
I remember last year they were feature in THUMBS UP as one of the best dining experience in town. Watch it here:
Kogi Bulgogi is a restaurant that can be enjoyed with meals to share. It is a hit for groups that are composed of families and friends. The abundance of offerings makes your meal pleasurable, making Kogi Bulgogi a top choice for gatherings and celebrations. Kogi Bulgogi has branches in Eastwood City Mall, Lucky Chinatown Mall and now at Promenade, Greenhills. They are opening up another Kogi Bulgogi restaurant in Gateway Mall, Araneta Center 4th quarter of this year.
After shopping, dropby at Kogi Bulgogi and experience Korean food like never before!
