Interesting year for Broadcasting, Sales and films as Philippines has around 14 nominations to New York Festival recognizing the best of films and Television. ABSCBN, GMA and TV5 both are finalist in respective categories.
And just last night, The Festival gave the Gold World Medal to ABS-CBN for “A Call to Arms” Country under The Sports Program Promotion. Silver World Medal to ABS-CBN for Johnny: The Juan Ponce Enrile Story under Television – Documentary/Information Program. Meanwhile GMA7 recieves Silver world Medal for Reel Time: Bone Dry (Salat). Television – Documentary/Information Program.
The rest of the nomination such as BUdoy and Be Careful With My Heart recieves Finalist Certificates.

ABS-CBN is the country’s biggest winner at this year’s NYF with a total of eight finalists, two of which winning medals, while GMA News TV bagged a medal and a finalist certificate, GMA with one finalist certificate, and TV5 with one finalist certificate.
