(TV) Alvin Abrenica and Sophie Albert Hailed as GRAND WINNERS of Artista Academy

Last Saturday night was an ultimate showdown of talent, looks and charm last Saturday at SMART Araneta Coliseum. The six grand finalists – Honor Students Akihiro Blanco, Chanel Morales, Mark Neumann, Shaira Mae, Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica vied and used everything they have learned from their months of training at the Asian Academy of Television Arts (AATA) to show how deserving they are of the Best Actor and Best Actress titles.

Sophie Albert and Vin Abrenica hailed as Artista Academy’s Best Actor and Best Actress who bagged a total of P20 Million in cash and prizes plus guaranteed lead roles in an upcoming TV5 teleserye. They are now the richest Grand Winners of all talent search winners in the history of Philippine TV.

Vin and Sophie each won P1 Million cash, a condo unit in Presidio at The Lakefront, Parañaque City from Vista Land, a Toyota Innova, P5 Million minimum guaranteed management contract from TV5 Talent Center, and an artistically designed trophy by renowned sculptor Leeroy New. As Artista Academy winners, they both became Close-Up ambassadors

They will also be given lead roles in an upcoming TV5 teleserye.

Their fellow Artista Academy students (Akihiro Blanco, Chanel Morales, Mark Neumann, Shaira Mae, Benjo Leoncio, Brent Manzano, Chris Leonardo, Jon Orlando, Malak So Shdifat, Marvelous Alejo, Nicole Estrada and Stephanie Rowe) were also granted exclusive management contracts with TV5 Talent Center. All 14 Artista Academy students will be reunited in a TV5 youth series titled Forever Barkada. TV5 also announced that it will open the next season of Artista Academy for tweens aged 12 to 15 years old in 2013.

The Artista Academy Awards Night also showcased all six Honor Students’ talent in singing, dancing and acting. Each of them tried their best to impress the critics in their song and dance performances. Their individual short films was also be shown along with the comments of the directors who have worked with them. Eric Quizon directed the three short films of the girls while Joyce Bernal helmed the boys’ drama flicks.

The other Artista Academy students (Tropang Kick-Out members Benjo Leoncio, Brent Manzano, Chris Leonardo, Jon Orlando, Malak So Shdifat, Marvelous Alejo, Nicole Estrada and Stephanie Rowe) also shared the stage once again for a special production number.

The Awards Night was highlighted by the appearance of special guests, the conferment of special awards to the most deserving Artista Academy students, a teaser preview of an upcoming TV5 program, and a special announcement leading to the proclamation of Artista Academy’s first-ever Best Actor and Best Actress.
