The Philippines is once again well-represented at the prestigious ContentAsia Awards, with both GMA Network and ABS-CBN securing nominations for their outstanding content.
ABS-CBN, the country’s leading content company, bagged a total of six nominations for its top stars, revenge-thriller film, and innovative original series which honors the best of local production in Asia. ABS-CBN continues to produce content that resonates with viewers. This year’s nominations showcase the enduring strength of Philippine storytelling.
Leading the list of ABS-CBN’s nominees is Kim Chiu, who is up for Best Female Lead in a TV Programme for her talked-about portrayal in the Dreamscape series “Linlang.” Arjo Atayde follows with a nomination for Best Male Lead in a TV Programme for his scintillating performance in ABS-CBN International Production’s psychological thriller “Cattleya Killer.”
Leading the pack for GMA is the critically-acclaimed drama movie, “Firefly.” The show, which has captivated audiences with its gripping storyline, is in contention for an unspecified award category. Also, one thing to highlight is Dingdong Dantes nominated for his role in the series, “Royal Blood.”
