Ayala Malls Circuit, the lifestyle and entertainment destination south of Makati, is the new home of two Bistro Group concepts, Italianni’s and Texas Roadhouse. Their opening is perfectly timed for the Christmas season for guests who want to dine-in and celebrate with family and friends or to order dishes for their Noche Buena tables.
The sprawling mall, with specialty shops, hip dining places, world-class event venues, and sports facilities, provides the perfect backdrop for these two restaurants with a casual and friendly vibe. Here I am vibing with my favorite drinks.
Italianni’s new branch. New dishes
Italianni’s Circuit Mall is a 91-seater store with a design aesthetic that is homey and welcoming. There is outside seating for those who want to watch while feasting on Italian-American food.
The opening is a great opportunity for guests to try their newly-launched dishes. Tease your taste buds with Mushroom Arancini (risotto balls mixed with mushroom and cheese and served with garlic and truffle sauce)
and light, refreshing salads such as Shrimp and Pomelo (lettuce, arugula, pomelo, shrimps, and walnuts tossed in a honey balsamic vinegar, topped with parmesan cheese); and Watermelon, Cucumber, and Feta (watermelon, cucumber, arugula, olives, onion, and basil tossed in Italian vinaigrette with feta cheese and roasted pecan nuts).
A new pizza flavor worth trying is the Creamy Spinach Artichoke Pizza, filled with spinach, artichoke, Alfredo cream sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan and topped with sundried tomatoes. Your choice of thick or thin.
There are also new meat and seafood entrees: Slow-Braised Oxtail (cooked in aromatics with red wine reduction, served with rice pilaf and crispy fried onion);
Grilled 1 lb. Bone-in Pork Chop (perfectly seared chop sauteed in Italian sausage and mixed veggies) and Pan-Fried Halibut with Clams (seared halibut fillet, sauteed in white wine and butter, served with clams and potatoes).
Complete your dining and wining visit to Italianni’s by having a sip or two of their new mocktails: Hibiscus Limonata, Basil Cucumber Bliss, Elderflower Fizz, Citrus Mint Cooler, and Rosy Sip.
Not to be missed are the restaurant’s classic dishes that have made Italianni’s very popular in the country: Sicilian Salad, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Spinach and Artichoke Formaggio, Chicken Italianni’s, Grilled Pork Chop Au Poivre and New York Cheesecake.
