Here are The Complete Entries to the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival!


With the selection of the four completed films from a record-breaking 22 film submissions, the 48th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) concludes its eight official entries and sets the bar for future festivals.

The highly esteemed members of the selection committee, led by the multi-awarded and well-respected figurehead of the film industry Boots Anson-Rodrigo, selected the top eight films based on the following standards: artistic excellence (40%) commercial appeal (40%) Filipino cultural values (10%) and international appeal (10%).

The MMFF 2022’s Official 8 entrants are:

2. Cineko Productions, Inc.’s FAMILY MATTERS

3. Borracho Film Production’s MAMASAPANO NOW IT CAN BE TOLD

4. My Father, Myslelf by 3:16 Media Network

The first four official entries based on submitted scripts were revealed in July:

5. ABS-CBN Film Productions’ LABYU WITH AN ACCENT

6. NANAHIMIK ANG GABI, produced by Rein Entertainment

7. The ABS-CBN Film Productions film PARTNERS IN CRIME

8. TEN17P’s MY TEACHER

According to Rodrigo, the members of the selection committee carefully considered each entry, applying the criteria and rating them as films.

Rodrigo stated, “It is a collegial choice made by a deliberative council. With the message this year “MMFF Concurrent Acting Chairman Engr. Carlo Dimayuga III and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) invited moviegoers to support the festival, which has long been a part of the Filipinos’ Christmas custom.

“Let’s watch the MMFF again in the theater. The selection of entries, which spans a diverse range of genres, gets our approval. We are enthusiastic and anticipating the success of MMFF 2022, “Dimayuga stated. The production can now begin its promotional activities, which will be highlighted by the Parade of Stars that Quezon City will be hosting.

The 48th MMFF will take place nationwide in theaters from December 25, 2022, to January 7, 2023, while adhering to the necessary health precautions.

The Gabi Ng Parangal will be on December 27.
