Finally, realme Philippines officially announced the arrival of realme 9 PRO, a 5G capable photography powerhouse smartphone. I was very excited to hear this because its been almost a year since the launch of its predecessor realme 8 Pro so today I am happy to share with you what do we expect from this new upgrade. So let me unbox this for now and share my first impression.
We all know that realme is committed to developing more and more 5G smartphones and this time there’s a lot of upgrades from its camera features and processor. Let’s take a look at its beauty.
This is the first time realme changed its signature realme box design but actually I am better with what’s inside (accessories) because they still have the silicon case for early protection and the fast charging 33watts and type-C USB cable.
Before I delve with its features, I can’t help but admire its design. This one below is a Sunrise Blue colorway. As you can see, this is something you can’t really pinpoint which kind of blue they’re using but all I know is that it is shimmering! This is actually realme’s first Photochromism Design.
And if you tilt a little closer, this back cover shift from blue to red though I’d like to show you are shimmering blue with some rays of red. So cool! This Light Shift design applies only to the Sunrise Blue colorway.
The previous smartphones that I reviewed usually has around 60 to 90Hz but not this realme 9 PRO 5G. This one has 120Hz Ultra Smooth Display and I can see vividly how glossy the screen looks somehow saturated but definitely working on its advantage. This realme 9 Pro has an FHD+ Resolution at 2412×1080 with a PPI of 401.
The refresh rate has never been this better!
I like how realme decided to make this phone 5G because I was able to download a lot faster. The download speed is way better! The touch response is impressive so I decided to try mobile legends haha but of course I lost to friends. Its just it is very responsive, I’m gonna have to try other games LOL. Oh by the way it boasts a 90.8% Screen-to-body ratio.
I wanted to share a lot but I guess I have to reserve that to my full review but leaving you with the very impressive street photography samples for now. Oh yes, this I guess is my favorite feature because as someone who really relied on smartphones for all my contents, this one is definitely an upgrade. Street Photography 2.0 comes back better than ever with a long exposure mode with four different settings (Neon Trail, Light Trail Portrait, Rush Hour, and Light Painting) and a new creative filter called 90’s Pop.
Here are some of my initial sample shots. You would love this phone at night!
The realme 9 Pro+ and the realme 9 Pro also come in an Aurora Green colorway for those who prefer a dark and sleek panel. The realme 9 Pro Series will be launched via livestream event on March 15, 6PM, on the realme Philippines Facebook page.
