Unboxing: The Huawei Watch 3 and Huawei FreeBuds 4

As we enter second half of 2021, many of us are very hopeful to the slow return of the old normal. While it is advisable to stay at home, others safely added old routines such as occasional office visits, gym workout and the likes. Lucky for me, I get to workout from home with the help of some equipments I bought prior to lockdown. And in terms of working from home, some challenges I am continue encountering are outside noise that needs to be cancelled during my livestream and meetings. Thanks to newly-released earbuds from Huawei Philippines because I get to respond to the challenge of the new normal.

And as I have been sharing on my socials, my 2-year old smartwatch bailed out officially and I needed a new one because I literally cannot function without one. So this blog I am sharing you very important life updates and recommendations related to latest earbuds and smartwatch you must check in the market!  I am talking about unboxing the amazing Huawei Watch 3 and Huawei FreeBuds 4.

Early this month I have shared details about the Huawei Watch 3 and Huawei Freebuds 4 stories during its launch and what better to get to know them is to officially unbox em! First, I wanna walk you through this very impressive Huawei FreeBuds 4. Let’s check the package.

The box also  includes special features of HUAWEI Freebuds 4 including one thing that excites me, the dual device connection! Glad that it can connect to various kinds of devices such as smartphones, tablets, PCs, smartwatches, and smart TVs under Huawei’s all-scenario devices. This latest True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Bluetooth earbuds from HUAWEI inherits the world’s first open-fit active noise cancellation (ANC) technology from the previous generation.

As you know I got the chance to try the brands’ earbuds couple of months when I shared my experience using the FreeBuds 4i and I can tell you that Huawei Freebuds 4 is indeed a great upgrade for everyone because of its active noise cancellation 2.o which I am going to elaborate on the upcoming vlog.

What’s in the box?

The Earbuds
Charging case
Quick Start Guide, Safety Information,
Warranty Card and Warranty certificate
USB-C cable. (Always my favorite type)

This earbuds weighs about 4.1g (Height: 41.4 mm x )Width: 16.8 mm) with 58mm diameter charging case. Its battery capacity per earbud is around 30 mAh. You can finish charging the case through wire without earbuds in about an hour, same charging time for the earbuds in the charging case.

Actually I am loving the fit already the moment I took it from the charging case. Oh by the way there are three ways to control this beauty –by swiping, tapping it twice and press/hold. Its bluetooth compatibility must be at BT 5.2 and as I have mentioned, it has simultaneous Bluetooth connection with dual devices as long as your smartphone is running EMUI10 or above.

What I look forward this week is to test its capacity to record clear voice for my live streaming and finally got to test its low latency and wow! The gamers would love its performance. Here I am asking question to the virtual press con using the HUAWEI FreeBuds 4 and it is giving me more comfy look and feel plus its low latency feature!

It comes in two colors, Silver Frost and Ceramic White.

Today I’m bringing this very handy HUAWEI Freebuds 4 to my errands to check how the active noise cancellation works in the supermarket.

HUAWEI Watch 3

Now let’s take a look at this flagship wearables that I’ve been wearing for more than a week now, the impressive HUAWEI Watch 3. To be honest, I never thought of changing the brand until I met this device. For starters, HUAWEI Watch 3 is also compatible with non-Huawei devices (other Android or iOS products). How inclusive is that?

But before these realization, let’s take a look at the package:

HUAWEI Watch 3 Unit
Charger (Including charging cable)
User Guide & Safety Information & Quick Start Guide
Safety Information and Warranty Card

As I open the device, it will redirect you to the pairing and bluetooth set up. Good thing I already had the HUAWEI Health App downloaded on my smartphone.

I’m sure you guys might ask its connectivity feature. Here it is:

WLAN Supported (only 2.4 GHz is supported)
GPS GPS+GLONASS+Galileo+Beidou
NFC Supported
Bluetooth 2.4 GHz, supports BT5.2 and BR+BLE

System requirements: Android 6.0 or later /  iOS 9.0 or later

Very easy to connect and pair. Needless to say, if there’s one thing that wearables should possess is its ability to sync and connect smoothly to your smartphone and HUAWEI Watch 3 didn’t disappoint.

The aesthetic beauty of HUAWEI Watch 3 is very obvious. It has 1.43 inches size and AMOLED color screen (with 466 x 466 pixels), and can support full-screen touch operations, including swiping, tapping, and pressing and holding. Very impress with its vibrant colors.

All I know is that I am very sold with the strap because it is very soft and durable. brings a new minimalist-style that matches my minimalist outfit. I also like its Up and Down buttons with Rotatable Crown.

The watch case is actually made of  Stainless steel+ceramic and I love its strap because it is made of Fluoroelastomer, way extra elastic from my old ones. In terms of memory, its has 16GB internal ROM and 2GB of RAM. There is also a lot of sensors this wearable is having such as acceleration sensor, optical heart rate sensor, ambient light sensor and temperature sensor. Of course I played already with its settings:

The HUAWEI WATCH 3 Series is powered by HarmonyOS 2, creating a new smart interactive experience on the wrist, and turning the smartwatch to an interaction, smart and health centre. HUAWEI WATCH 3 Series offers a fast interactive response, comprehensive control, and new smartwatch experience. And did I mention there are a lot of watch face to choose from!!? I can;t decide which one to use because every design are awesome!

Anyway, I tried to fully charge it the other day because this wearable is oozing with its long battery life and so far it is true! I went outside wearing this and been sneaking around its features and still in its good battery performance.

If not for this HUAWEI Watch 3, I wouldn’t be inspired to do it because I’m used to manage my activity and health overall using this. Thanks to its improved health management because it pushes me from doing what is needed! Huawei’s wearable product line is committed to delivering a better quality of life to users and providing consumers with a more comprehensive, real-time, and convenient life experience. At the end of my day, I reached my 10,000 steps goal.

The next day I tried wearing it on my workout routine to test sensors and so far it is bringing great results.

As a content creator, I am very glad to have settled in my hometown with fresh air while still connected online and provide stories and interesting news to my readers. and if Huawei provides such impressive devices and gadgets to help us get through the trying times of new normal, count me in

So far that is all I can say because literally I am very impressed with its design aesthetics and features. I will be premiering a vlog this August to official share my full review for this Huawei Watch 3 and Huawei FreeBuds 4. Currently enjoying while testing these two since last week and I’m telling you, there’s joy wearing and using this during my errands and meetings all week long so stay tuned!
