Megaworld Lifestyle Malls Unleashes Colors in Celebration of Pride Month

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls reignites its support for the LGBTQ+ community and recognizes their invaluable impact and contributions to the society with Unleash Your Colors, a Pride month celebration.

Celebrating diversity and recognizing its importance, the month-long campaign seeks to show solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community’s quest to be seen, heard, felt and accepted by staging platforms for awareness and recognition.

This year, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls is holding a star-studded Pride Fest with performances from community advocates, influencers and allies to highlight the importance of HIV awareness and break the stigma surrounding the condition.

Hosted by IC Medoza and Maui Sanchez, the Pride Fest digital event on June 26 will feature an inspiring musical performance by Lucas Garcia and an empowering dance number by the Addlib Divas.

Drag queens Brigiding Gigi, Minty Fresh and Marina Summers will bring color to the celebration by showcasing their makeup transformation skills with a twist. Surprise guests will also join to talk about HIV and how to fight discrimination among the community.

Out and Proud

Recognizing the need to create a safe space, this year’s Pride celebration invites individuals who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community to share their coming out stories.

Interested individuals may share the story of how they recognized, accepted and shared themselves by sending an email to cssantiago@megaworld-lifestyle.com. Senders will be made confidential. These stories will be shared during the Pride Fest Digital Event in hopes of inspiring courage and love.

Usapang ATBPride

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls is also partnering with Love Yourself, a non-profit organization, to stage ATBPride, a six-part online talk aimed at engaging and educating the public on the experiences of people who identify as LGBTQ+. The talks feature the personal experiences of people identifying as LGBTQ+ and their journey in identifying their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, as well as tackle common misconceptions about the community.

The talks are live on the social media accounts of Love Yourself, Eastwood City and Megaworld Lifestyle Malls every Tuesday and Thursday at 8 PM for the month of June.

Standing in Solidarity

To express its solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls unveiled a colorful Pride-themed logo that showcases colorful elements representing the diversity and vibrancy of the community.

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls earlier lit up its iconic towers and buildings in the colors of the rainbow to mark the celebration of Pride Month. Arco de Emperador, an iconic 19-meter high neoclassical arch monument in Arcovia City, Pasig, the facade of Uptown Mall in Uptown Bonifacio, Taguig, and the Eastwood Tower in Eastwood City, Quezon City were all illuminated in different hues as a tribute to the LGBTQ+ community. The light display will run for the entire month of June.
