I have been thinking about visiting Iloilo since 2018. After missing that chance to fly there because of commitments at work, I didn’t get the opportunity to plan. Good thing this year we finally decided to put it on top of our list. So we say, “Let’s put Iloilo first on our travel itinerary.” Of course I have heard of how the City progressed in the last five years and what better way to experience this is to stay in its own developing township. I am talking about the Iloilo Business Park in Megaworld Boulevard where the first luxury hotel by the Richmonde brand resides, the Richmonde Hotel Iloilo.
Having experienced visiting and staying in a lot of Megaworld Townships and Properties, I would say that I am impressed in how Megaworld positioned itself in Iloilo. The Iloilo Business Park is a testament that they pride itself in linking progress to its people. Hearing people talking about Megaworld Boulevard –it became a provincial landmark for everyone before coining it as a brand. Giving you a glimpse of the Festival Walk and Parade.
Our short trip in Iloilo I would say was sweet and quick. Though there are a lot of places (and food) to experience on our list, our home to this visit became even memorable because Richmonde Hotel Iloilo remained true to its promise, to serve good-natured Filipino hospitality to all who go through its door. Check their spacious lobby and their unique ceilings.
From our airport transfers to checking in, the experience was smooth and as you guys know, I am a huge fan of sustainable development so when Richmonde Hotel handed over our key cards, I was impressed with the BAMBOO KEYS! Natalie Lim, General Manager of Richmonde Hotel Iloilo excitedly explained that it is part of their sustainability program. This is, if Im not mistaken, the first in the country to use Bamboo Key Cards. This big switch is indeed a big deal for the hospitality industry and I hope the rest will follow suit.

Let me give you some room tours I know you have been planning to scroll down so here it is. Richmonde Hotel Iloilo has different kinds of room accommodation and I would say theirs are easy to memorize. They have One-bedroom suite, The Premiere Room and the Deluxe Room.
We stayed in their Premiere room with a two full-size bed. Look at how spacious our room is!
Noticed the space in between the wall and my bed. The premiere room is said to be designed to accommodate up to triple occupancy with ease.
Here is Richmonde Hotel’s One-bedroom suite. It has a separate living and dining area, and a door separates the bedroom from the master bathroom.
The One-bedroom Suite comes with a full-sized bathtub and an enclosed shower area.
While this is Richmonde’s Deluxe Room. Still spacious as the other rooms! You can also choose the kind of bed you prefer (whether king or twin beds). They also have rooms for PWD.
On our first day in Richmonde, we immediately scheduled our swimming to their very popular swimming pool with pool deck! What sells this awesome pool deck is the skyline view overlooking Iloilo Business Park and some parts of the city.
They also have 24-hour gym facilities, something I always look for in a hotel.
Similar to other Megaworld hotels, they also have the Atrium at the fifth floor for those who wants to work or conduct meetings.
Dining at Richmonde Hotel
During our stay in Iloilo, Richmonde Hotel offers new menu to The Granary. The restaurant is inspired by the province’s reputation as the rice granary of Western Visayas. It can accommodate up to 70 pax.

They also have the stylish BIZBAR that serves as their entertainment lounge for those who wants to get cozy with a bottle of beers and wines.
As our trip fell on a Valentine weekend, we were able to experience The Granary’s Italian-inspired Dinner Buffet for Valentines day. I’m gonna have to blog or vlog about it separately but just to give you a short glimpse of that night, the restaurant was filled with a mix of families and lovers celebrating the special occasion. That includes us singles haha!
As we can’t get enough of the pool deck with Zabana Bar, we dip again and did a couple of bottles there. The view is equally beautiful in the morning.
