I can really feel the Filmfest fever! We’ll me as an avid fan of the Metro Manila Film Festival since oh my God, Jose Rizal and Magic Kingdom years. I have been obsessed with Box Office and Awards Nights. Since then, my religious patronage to the film fest started up to the time when I became a blogger.
This year, one of the anticipated films who made it to the official eight (8) entries is the movie of Actor, director and writer Rodel Nacianceno aka Coco Martin, today Primetime King of this generation. Entitled 3POL TROBOL, Huli Ka Balbon the film also stars Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas, Multimedia superstar Jennylyn Mercado, Sam Milby, Carmi Martin, Bianca Manalo, Joey Marquez. Mayor Isko Moreno also appeared to have cameo on the film.
Coco Martin is not new to the Film Festival season. In fact he did Panday during 2017 and was submitted as the official entry to the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival. He also did Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles lat year for MMFF 2018 opposite Vic Sotto and Maine Mendoza.
During the grand Press Conference of 3POL TROBOL, Coco Martin reiterated that the film might have action scenes but it is totally different from what they are seeing on primetime television.
“Kasi s’yempre mapapahiya ako, ako na nga ’yong gumagawa ng Probinsyano, tapos ako pa rin gumawa nito. Tapos pag pinanood mo parang pareho lang. Iniba ko siya definitely. Magkalayong-magkalayo ’yong character ko. Nag-Paloma man ako dito, ibang-ibang Paloma siya, “Kumbaga times five! Kasi sinagad ko na siya, e. Huling beses ko ng gagawin ’yong character ni Paloma, sasagarin ko na.”
When asked about ranking in Box Office, Coco Martin said that it’s not an issue for him whether who’s on top or who’s number 2. “Honestly, wala akong issue kung sino ang number one, sino ang number two. ‘Di ba parang iisipin mo pa ba ‘yun sa dami ng ano. Siguro naman, dapat kinakabahan ako ngayon. Ngayon excited ako, kapag alam mong maganda ang produkto mo, excited ka i-announce sa maga tao at confident ka sa offer mo.”
3POL TROBOL Huli Ka Balbon is an official entry of CCM Productions, Opens this Christmas Day in Cinemas Nationwide.
