If I remember correctly, I bought my first Hard drive back in 2013 from Amazon in the US. That was the time when I had gazillion of files and that need sorting.I have read reviews and found SEAGATE to be a brand to be relied upon on in terms of quality. But that’s not where I got impressed by my purchase. I kept my SEAGATE for so many years and when there’s something I need from them, they were very polite in taking good care of their consumers during the after-sales. It was something I never thought I should consider and now I know why Seagate became popular and the brand to look for in the next 10 years where innovation and service becomes necessary.
Fast forward to today, I’d like to share now my new favorite thing on my desk. Something that everyone should have. Let me share my experience with the new SEAGATE Backup Plus Hub!
Recently, one of my favorite online storage discontinued its service and unless I subscribe to their premium account, I can only use their full services. So I needed something permanent. For starters, this desktop storage is something I have been trying to look for. With specification such as follow:
What I like about my Backup Plus is that it has two extra USB 3.0 ports on the front, so you don’t need to worry about getting disturb with just one port, it gives me extra port to multi task. 3.0 ports really work fast. It’s like transferring without hassle.
This device also gives 4TB of storage for both Mac and PC. And since it has its own Seagate’s software, backing up of files is no longer and issue. I tried backing up all the files in my current laptop and I am amazed by its speed! Also, the NTFS driver is here, you can switch between four Macs or Windows PCs without the need to reformat.
I cannot reiterate enough how fast read and write speeds and convenient USB hub for your devices and other peripherals. I even connected my other external drive and there is no noticeable reduction in performance.
Also, One thing I so like about my new storage is that there is enough port for me to charge my gadget! Yep, it serves as power source to all of our devices. Im currently charging my Fitbit watch and iPhone!
For those asking about its portability, The SEAGATE Backup Plus Hub is as small as 4.6 by 1.6 by 7.8 inches (118 by 41 by 198 mm). Imagine a very light weight item around 2.3 pounds (1.1 kg). And like all desktop drives, it requires its own power adapter (included) to function.
I know that the capacity of a hard disk drive is because of multiple factors. For example they still have to consider the number of platters that can be squeezed into any given height, and the capacity of each platter.
Overall, I am enjoying this SEAGATE Backup Plus Hub and excited to transfer all my favorite mp4 and .avi files later so I can watch it on my new Smart TV. To know more about, visit this https://www.seagate.com/as/en/consumer/backup/backup-plus-desk/
