FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano proved its worth once again as the most watch television series in the Philippines. After scoring remarkable ratings nationwide last June 13, 2018 with a 44.4%, versus 16.9% of The Cure, a competing program in GMA Network, the series didn’t let anyone rain on their parade last night. And when I say last night, I meant the pilot launch of GMA Network’s series Victor Magtanggol starring “Pambansang Bae” and one of the hottest Kapuso artists today, Alden Richards.
Victor Magtanggol replaced The Cure of GMA Network. According to Kantar Media, last friday’s rating gave FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano 38.3% versus The Cure with 17.2%. Multinational audience measurement provider Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,610 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population.
In the episode, Cardo (Coco Martin) and Alyana (Yassi Pressman) visited their family in Manila to tell them their decision to stay in Sto. Niño for good to have a more peaceful life. But their joyful visit will instantly lead to a dangerous encounter between them and Marco (JC Santos), who with armed men, will chase them down to kill Cardo and capture Alyana.
The series reached its peak, and its all-time high rating last 2016 with 46.7% and a high-point lead against GMA 7’s Little Nanay (16.9%)
FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is an action drama series started in 2015 based on the 1997 movie of the late Fernando Poe Jr. With more than 700 episodes since its pilot, Ang Probinsyano continues to lead primetime and is extended until September 2018.
