(VISIT) Our visit to Philippine National Museum! Because It Is Permanently Free Of Charge!

The last time I visited National Museum was during our excursion back in high school and when I say HS, it is way way back! I remember visiting the national museum for Anthropology and fell in love at first sight with SPOLARIUM by Filipino artist Juan Luna.

That time I didn’t appreciate much of the story of General Antonio Luna because textbooks back then were just mere guide to introduce us to history. Until recently it was made to life thru a motion picture. It raked more than 100 Million in Philippine Box Office and was able to participate in 2016 OSCARS (STORY HERE).

This week we paid a visit to our favorite art with my blogger buddies Rodel Flordeliz and Ruth Dela Cruz. And of course we level up our short visit with a back to school outfit!

This visit is literally to increase awareness that anytime, you can visit our national museum as the admission is free started months and months ago!

A policy of free general admission has been established, effective July 1, 2016, by the Board of Trustees of the National Museum, in order to build upon significant spikes in viewership, especially among younger Filipinos, that have been observed in 2013-2015 and to date in 2016, when general admission has been made free of charge for various traditional reasons such as National Arts Month in February, National Heritage Month in May, and National Museums and Galleries Month in October.

The National Museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission to the National Museum is now permanently free of charge for all visitors, Filipino or foreign, to its museums nationwide.
