As summer is fast approaching, almost everybody is gearing up for a vacation with family or friends. But while some things can be planned like itinerary, transportation, and budget, one thing that we can never plan is the weather.
Good thing there is now an available app to give us a weather forecast — the Philippines! This app is being supported by LBC, country’s leading cargo and logistics company, which has gone a step beyond their services to ensure that the Filipinos are informed, assisted and safeguarded at the same time.
With just a quick download and click of the app, you will be able to get accurate weather forecasts for different locations in the Philippines. Operating with around 800 automated weather stations across the country, some of which are installed in selected LBC branches,, WeatherPhilippines gives the public a detailed weather forecast and enables the user to track typhoons and even determines which areas will be most affected. Colors and warnings based on world meteorological standards are used in the app to make the weather warnings more apparent to the user. The labels are also customizable per AWS site and provides an easy overview of the weather data of a specified location.
The great thing about the WeatherPhilippines app is that it is FREE and the information derived from it can be shared via email and social media.
The Aboitiz Group, which developed the app in partnership with UnionBank, clarifies that Weather Philippines is simply the private sector’s counterpart to PAGASA which supplies the official weather data for the country.
