Last weekend, I was able to catch one of the much anticipated re-run of the hit musical comedy –drama ‘Care Divas’ to kick-start Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA)’s 50th season program.
I’m glad I did come. It was funny and entertaining all through-out. This is my second time to attend and grace the screening through the partnership of PETA and one of my favorite brands, CONVERSE.
Care Divas’ includes a powerhouse cast of seasoned PETA actors including Ron Alfonso, Eko Baquial, , Jason Barcial, Joan Bugcat, Buddy Caramat, Vince De Jesus, Eric Dela Cruz, Gio Gahol, Melvin Lee, Joseph Madriaga, Dudz Teraña, and Gold Villar with guest actors Ophir Burton, Ricci Chan, Red Concepcion, Jef Flores, Paul Holme, Sherry Lara, Thou Reyes, Leo Rialp, and Myke Salomon.
In its 50 years in the industry, PETA has produced multitude of creative artists who believe in its vision of empowering the Filipinos through the performing arts.
I was able to meet Red Concepcion who played Chelsea after the show.
In the same vein, Converse Philippines, a proud supporter of music and arts, upholds creativity and individuality with its featured iconic Converse sneaker and apparel used in the musicale.
‘Care Divas,’ will run from February 3 to March 19, with shows at 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM, at PETA Theater Center, No.5 Eymard Drive, New Manila, Quezon City.
