I attended a press conference last week for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) and was able to talk to a long time friend who now handles talents and celebrities. He mentioned about a meeting regarding the return of Mars Ravelo’s LASTIKMAN.
Since 1968, there were three Lastikman (3) movies produced by different movie outfits. The first was produced by Luzon Production starring Von Serna as Lastikman. This was followed by a Vic Sotto starrer last 2003 produced by M-ZET and Octo Arts; then with Mark Bautista in 2004 by Viva Films opposite Sarah Geronimo as his love interest.
Last 2007, ABSCBN produced Lastikman as one of its fantasy series offering for television starring Vhong Navarro.
It has been twelve years since a last Lastikman movie rolled into the big screen and this year, the urge to do another motion picture is on the priority list.
According to my reliable source, Star Cinema had a meeting last week on the plan project about Mars Ravelo’s Lastikman. And the lead they’re planning to tap to continue the legacy is no other than the actor, model and dancer, Ronnie Alonte.
Ronnie Alonte is now one of the most popular names in the local movie scene right now after MMFF announces its final 8 last October. Ronnie is included in two of the movies which will open on December 25. These are Star Cinema’s “Vince, Kath and James” and Reality Entertainment’s “Seklusyon“.
Yes, this is the first time you’re going to hear about this and you are welcome. Can this be true? Could I be wrong? Well let’s see if we can see Ronnie Alonte in a black and green suit. Rod Magaru Show is open for any statement from Star Cinema.
in my opinion Daniel Padilla is way better for lastikman than ronnie..
