Love wins again today as sportswear giant Nike finally dropped one of the world’s greatest Boxer and Saranggani representative Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao over his statement in his latest interview on same-sex marriage and I quote, translated in english:
“It’s common sense, do you see animals mating with the same sex? Animals are better because they can distinguish male from female. If men mate with men and women mate with women they are worse than animals.”
Following his statement on Tv5’s interview, celebrities posted various reaction over social media questioning Manny Pacquiao’s stand on same sex marriage. Some of these were Boy Abunda, Vice Ganda, Perez Hilton, Gringo Honasan and Lea Salonga.
Pacquiao released a video apologizing to everyone he hurt (with cross arms). WATCH IT HERE
After that day, there was a call, a signature campaign petitioning Nike to drop Manny Pacquiao as an endorser.

Of course, news reached Nike office and finally drops Pacquiao as their endorser. Nike believes that they both have different views about the LGBT communities.
Nike released statement that says:
“We find Manny Pacquiao’s comments abhorrent. Nike strongly opposes discrimination of any kind and has a long history of supporting and standing up for the rights of the LGBT community. We no longer have a relationship with Manny Pacquiao.”
Manny Pacquiao is running for a Senatorial seat. As a congressman representing the district of Saranggani, he appeared in the house of representative sessions. He is one of the title holder for the most number of absents in the congress.
Will I vote for him? Common sense.
Definitely, NOT!!! I have common sense!
