Was able to squeeze the 1st bloggers conference of my friend and my bet to win from Team Sarah from Season 1 of The Voice of The Philippines, KLARISSE. That night she shared her aspirations, excitements and how The Voice changed her life. She was known as the Soul Diva from The Voice of the Philippines.
After releasing her self-titled debut album, ASAP’s Homegrown Diva Klarisse De Guzman is ready for another stage- her first solo concert entitled “The Voice of Klarisse De Guzman: Live In Concert” on August 29, 8pm at Teatrino, Promenade Mall.
Wait, she performed a couple of song to us during the bloggers conference and I am sharing you one, watch it.
KLARISSE SINGS EVERYTHING I DO
Klarisse De Guzman is not new to competition. After finishing second on The Voice of the Philippines, she is ready to face a bigger challenge – making it on her own with her self-titled debut album under MCA Music. The diva-in-the-making brought something new to the table this time, expressing her personal singing style that is different from how she started.
Finally, Klarisse is on her way to becoming the artist she was destined to become. Aside from the songs she sang during The Voice (“I Can’t Make You Love Me”, “To Love Somebody”, “The Climb” and “Slowly”) and the original theme for the teleserye Mirabella (“Sabihin Mo Sa Akin”), she also added 3 original songs in the mix. Her debut single, “Di Kayang Pilitin”- written by Klarisse herself, is way different from her usual contest pieces – less birit, and more soul. “Gusto ko po talagang maging singer-songwriter tapos medyo soul ang music ko.” She has been pretty hands on with the production of her album as well. Also included are songs composed by Arnee Mendaros (“Sayang Naman”) and Toto Sorioso (“Magpakailanman”). The album likewise features her versions of hit love songs (Everything I Do) I Do It For You (Bryan Adams) and Stuck On You (Lionel Richie).
Klarisse is living the dream, finally reaping the fruits of her contest days. She’s a champion of her own craft. But now, there’s no one to compete with now but herself – ready to learn more, create, and take on anything!
The concert will be held at Teatrino, Promenade Mall on Friday, August 29, at 8pm. Klarisse will be performing songs off the album and will be joined by guests MCA Music artists Nyoy Volante and fellow The Voice finalist Paolo Onesa. Tickets are available at PHP 1000 at Ticketworld at 8919999 or ticketworld.com.ph.
