The film stars an international ensemble cast led by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Oscar® winner Juliette Binoche, and Oscar® nominee Sally Hawkins, with Oscar® nominee David Strathairn and Emmy® and Golden Globe Award winner Bryan Cranston.
Arriving with heaps of critical praise for its fidelity to the original Japanese monster franchise, the 2014 “Godzilla” also resonated with local audiences as the film’s story begins in The Philippines, Yes! You read it right our country has a special participation in this reboot. Audiences were pleasantly surprised to find out that Godzilla’s eventual nemesis originated from a mining company somewhere in the country. The King of Monsters a.k.a Godzilla is once again back into business – Protecting humanity against other vicious creatures. The well-loved Monster will take us from Japan to San Francisco while struggling against 2 Flying creatures (Spoiler Alert!).

One of the features of the film, aside from Monster vs. Monster action are the characters that will give us the drama element with flying colors. Joe Brody (Bryan Cranston) a Scientist/Nuclear Engineer working for Janjira and his reunion with his son Ford Brody (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) who is a member of the Military plus other casts like Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen etc.
Warner Bros.’ re-invention of “Godzilla” trampled its competition at the Philippine box-office, hauling off a four-day opening weekend gross of P 90.4-million for the May 15-18 frame. This was announced today by Francis Soliven, General Manager of Warner Bros. Philippines.
To all Godzilla Fanatics out there and soon-to-be-fanatics, this is one great movie you don’t want to miss. I would prefer watching it on IMAX or 3D so you would really feel the vibe that this film will bring
