SoundScan is the sales source for the Billboard music charts, making it the official source of sales records in the music industry. “Les Miserables: Highlights from The Motion Picture Soundtrack” is the first No. 1 soundtrack on the Billboard 200 since the “Hunger Games” album opened atop the April 7, 2012 list.
