With an all access pass, I am happy to witness one of the most happiest concert ever conducted at the concert grounds of Mall of Asia, The COCA COLA CONCERT NG BAYAN, the 12-hour musical event last night in Pasay City. As early as 3 pm the event kicked off with a great weather, way to go to accommodate around 50,000 Coca-Cola fans.
Before I arrived at the venue, a very light and entertaining Press conference was held at the Diamond Hotel for International artist CRAIG DAVID. During the press conference, he was greeted by many smiling faces of Press and Bloggers and was was very game of answering questions. Craig popularized Insomnia, Walking Away, 7 Days, unbelievable (Which I remember was my ringtone for like a year?) to mention a few.
He said he cant stay long to tour the country as he will be leaving soonest going back to Miami.
Then we proceed to the venue where Wally and Jose are making the audience happy with their funny anecdotes. Filipino-American hip-hop duo Q-York also performed as concert’s opening act.
The crowd arrived as early as me!
Im sure these people would relate that everytime I open a new can or bottle of Coca cola, it’s like I’m swimming a ocean of sweetness. A land filled with happiness and joy. Each sip slowly passing through my lips as my taste buds spin around in the sweet flavor of Coca-Cola.
ITCHYWORMS
Tutti Caringal
WOLFGANG with GLOC 9. I never thought Gloc 9 is so awesome on live performances. Hearing him rap and challeng his speed makes me consider him as one of the best rappers in the Philippines.
PAROKYA NI EDGAR. When they enter the stage, the crowd went wild with their popular songs BULOY, HALAGA, PIZZA PIE and a lot more.
Then Gino Quillamor of RX 93.1, President of Happiness CALOY and ROBI DOMINGO who just came from his Graduation Rites (Congratulations!) raffle some prizes for the audience.
SomedayDream
Sarah Geronimo doing Beyonce, Whitney Houston and dance her heart out. OPne of the best performers last night
She really owned the stage everytime she performed!
Gary Valenciano and Gab Valenciano
Aside from the surprise production numbers by the guests, the concert also featured Popstar Sarah Geronimo, Somedaydream and Mr. Valenciano as they performed Coca-Cola’s centennial theme song called “Tuloy.” The song — infectiously fun and upbeat — is now on its way to the top of the charts. The event also was live streamed at the official Web site of Coca-Cola Philippines: www.coca-cola.com.ph.
Craig David
During the DRAIG DAVID ACT, I cant help but remember college life. His songs are very memorable and his moves are really superb!
Guillermo Aponte, president and general manager of Coca-Cola Philippines, said in a statement that the idea of staging a massive concert came from Coca-Cola fans through Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. It was indeed the best night of the year so far.
