The event started with the cast greeting everyone and then followed by Q and A including Direk Paul Soriano. I started the Q&A with Direk Paul asking how it differs with the usual Music Video and TV Commercials hes doing. His discipline in advertising helped him a lot and he explained a lot of effort to make the film a beautiful one was contributed during the shoot.
Maja Salvador on the other hand happily answered YES when I asked her if she is expecting a Best Actress Award should she be nominated to any award giving body. Ms. Tetchie Agbayani also shared that she is very proud of Direk Paul with his impressive technical know how and his preparedness on every shooting days. John Arcilla also commented that Direk Paul is one of the humble and hard working director he worked with. Eliza Pineda who played Maja’s sister also arrived and greeted and invited everyone to support the film. The entire team belives that INSPIRING movies uplift the spirit. They affect us, move us, coax us and often times coach us.
“Thelma” is one inspiring movie played by Maja Salvador, one of the country’s most talented young actresses. Maja is the production’s first choice to play the lead as they felt that the physicality and character suited her best. With this, Maja couldn’t help but elated. “Madami na akong naging offers in the past to do an indie movie but itong project na ito ang pinakanagustuhan ko. Nakaka-inspire s’ya talaga. It’s a story of a triumph of the human spirit!”
